Altskeith House Wedding

Venue – Altskeith House

Susan and Steve chose to get married in the most stunning location, Loch Ard. Surrounded by gorgeous hills, calm waters and boathouses, it really is a dream for weddings. One of my favourite venues that has it all is Altskeith House. The location is amazing and the staff are so friendly and easy to work with. Susan and her bridesmaids were already in the house getting ready.

Steve had his son ,Lewis, take on the roll as best man. He was only 11 but done a fantastic job of keeping his Dad calm.

Susan was walked down the aisle and given away by her Mum, Alison. They had a beautiful ceremony held by a local registrar. We decided to do the ceremony indoors as the weather was a wee bit iffy.

Afterwards we quickly rushed outside for a group photo and just as we were doing the confetti shot the heavens opened.

It didn’t rain for long though and Susan and Steve took a walk in the garden before crossing the road onto the beach. It was amazing to be able to photograph to completely different environments. One of my favourite things about Altskeith House.

Steve gave a quick speech thanking everyone before they sat for wedding breakfast.

Afterwards we used the long daylight to head out in the rowing boat onto the Loch. It was amazing to get Ben Lomond in the background.

It dried up so we cut the cake outside before heading back in for a ceilidh. Susan and sieve took to the floor first before all the guests joined in to party the night away. It was a beautiful Altskeith House Wedding.
