A Pratis Barn Wedding

PRATIS BARNS // MAY 2024

It was the first proper summer day of the year and I was lucky enough to be photographing Stuart & Lora’s Pratis Barns Weddng in Fife. It was my first time here and I was floored by their onsite accommodation which the bride can get ready in, it was beautiful! I also had a Second Shooter for the day which was the lovely Gemma Purdon who spent the morning with the boys.

Stuart & Lora were going for a party disco vibe and the decor was disco balls and pampas - which tied in perfectly with the barn.

Lora was helped into her dress by her Mum and Brother. She chose a gorgeous dress from Aimee Bridal Couture which had her wedding date embroidered on the sleeves PS. The detachable sleeves were a perfect touch!

Guests mingled in the courtyard pre wedding ceremony as we done a first look with the bridesmaids and then Stuart & Lora wanted to come together before their ceremony to read their vows. We found a perfect spot where they could hold hands and connect but not see each other. I loved this idea!

Stuart walked down the aisle with Beau the gorgeous family dog and waited anxiously for his beautiful Bride. Lora walked down the aisle with her Step-Dad and made an absolutely grand entrance.

They chose to have a lovely humanist ceremony conducted by Paul Browett who told the story of how they met and completely personalised the ceremony to them. Stuart then had to open a bottle of champagne for the quaiche and it sprayed everywhere! luckily not hitting the wedding schedule!

With two photographers we got two angles of the first kiss - both looking amazing! And same for the confetti shot too! its always great to have a second photographer on hand if your having a bigger wedding!

The Little Margarita Truck was on hand to serve drinks to guests as we done some family photos.

I then took Stuart & Lora a quick walk around the grounds to capture some beautiful moments together.

We then headed into the barn for speeches and dinner.

After dinner this foggy weather appeared so we took the couple out into the fields for a few more photos.

A beer pong tournament was set up between dinner and dancing which kept spirits high and the party going!

Back into the barn - Stuart and Lora decided not to have a cake but to have a champagne tower! it looks fab and went down a treat with guests.

Stuart & Lora took to the floor for their first dance and then all their guests piled on and joined in. It looked like such a blast!

There was a little bit of ceilidh so we made sure to capture this before we left! It was such an amazing day - thank you guys for having me at your Pratis Barn Wedding!
